Meridian Systems Consulting is an independent advisory and consulting practice serving Life & Annuity insurance carriers in the United States.
The firm works with carriers on new product launches, platform implementations and replacements, post-acquisition integrations, and in-flight programs that need to be gotten back on track. Scope spans product strategy, platform assessments, platform configuration, and operational execution — as a single engagement or across any combination.
Engagements are project-based and scoped directly with the carrier's senior team. Meridian is based in New Jersey and works with carriers nationally.
Bob Grotyohann is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with over 30 years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance.
He is a founding-era member of FAST Technology, where he built the product engine and core components of the broader platform — tax, accounting, renewals, and policy administration — and continued building and configuring it, hands-on, through nearly two decades of releases. Before FAST, he built the product engine at NaviSys, later acquired by Accenture and integrated into what is now ALIP, the Accenture Life Insurance & Annuity Platform.
Earlier in his career, he spent a decade designing L&A products from the ground up — pricing, tax treatment, underwriting, and the full path from concept to launch. Product and platform have been a single continuous problem for him across three decades.
Bob founded Meridian Systems Consulting in 2026 to work directly with carriers as an independent advisor.
